Annex II of the EU's directive to amend scrapped vehicles

The European Commission's Directorate-General for Health and Consumers issued G/TBT/N/EEC/349 on August 12, 2010: Draft Commission Directive amending the European Parliament and the Council's Directive 2000/53/EC on scrapped vehicles.
The content of the notification is as follows: In accordance with Article 4(2)(a) of Directive 2000/53/EC on scrapped vehicles, the use of lead, mercury, cadmium in the materials and components of vehicles put on the market after July 1, 2003 is prohibited. Or hexavalent chromium, for the sake of scientific and technological advancement, this draft directive is adapted from the list of materials and parts exempted from the prohibition.
The date of approval of this notification is around December 15, 2010, the effective date is the earliest date of January 1, 2011, and the deadline for comment is 60 days from the date of notification.
